I'm sitting in a hotel here in Columbus. Ohio recovering after
a minor panic attack after fearing that my phone died.
It's ok and my heart rate is now back close to normal.
I'm here because tomorrow my High School Baseball Coach
gets inducted into the Ohio High School Hall of Fame.
It's been 20 years since I graduated high school
(yes, that hurtsto say.)
But I still thought it was important enough to be here.
When I got into coaching, I wanted to really impact people's lives.
I certainly didn't give a s&*t about SEO, PPC and all that other
crap you hear *marketers* talk about.
I wanted to make people better.
I'm here because one of my coaches made me better and I want to
say thanks.
And as a side note - last night, I got to visit with one of my former
players that was in Louisville.
Tonight I got to spend some more time with another former player
that is speaking at the clinic here.
They're both doing great and hopefully I got to play a tiny part in
their success.
Because that's what coaches do.
So do me a favor - don't ever call me an internet marketer - or a
marketer at all.
Honestly, those titles kinda make my skin crawl.
I always have been a coach and always plan to be. If I use the internet
or the phone or whatever comes down the line to help more people so
be it - but I've always thought of myself as a coach and today was just
one more reminder of that.
Hopefully you feel the same way, because the world needs more
marketers and internet marketers like it need more lawyers.
But it needs a bunch more successful coaches.
Dedicated to your success -
Pat
